DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY
The Department of Zoology covers the subjects of Morphology, Physiology and Biology of Animal Cells and Organisms, as well as those of Animal Systematics and Distribution.
It consists of three Laboratories that cover the educational and research needs in the following fields:
1) Laboratory of Zoology : General and comparative animal morphology, General and comparative animal physiology, Animal Systematics, Zoogeography (PD 39/26-1-1929, GP 3894/1929).

2) Laboratory of Animal Physiology : Study of various physiological functions of animal organisms (PD 389/8-6-76, GP 140/9-6-76, issue Α΄).

3) Laboratory of Ichthyology : Morphology, anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, population dynamics, ecology of Fishes (PD 317/13-9-90, GP 130/27-9-90, issueΑ').
