Research

My research focuses on conservation biogeography and natural resource management. For this research agenta I rely on the construction of ecological models. I study interactions among organisms and their environment to explore questions related to ecology and conservation at various spatial and temporal scales. I'm particularly interested in understanding how climate change and land use change will alter species distribution and influence ecosystem services. My motivation for research and for a continuous improvement of my skills has to do with my passion for the region where I grew up: Florina, Western Macedonia, Greece,  an area with several Parks, a great biodiversity and huge potential for sustainable development.
