Σύντομο βιογραφικό: 

Ioannis Tsiripidis studied Forestry and holds a PhD from the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the field of Phytosociology. Today he is Associate Professor of Phytosociology in the School of Biology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests focus on classification, ecology, sociology and spatial patterns of plant communities, the distribution and ecology of vascular plants and the conservation of plant diversity. He has published 67 scientific papers in international peer reviewed journals, 15 chapters in books or books, 28 papers in Conference Proceedings (of national and international conferences) and 85 abstracts in Books of Abstracts of national and international conferences, and he has participated or coordinated 34 research projects. He teaches courses in the under- and postgraduate study programs of the School of Biology, concerning Systematic Botany, Vegetation, Ecology and Geography of Plants, Biodiversity Conservation and Numerical Data Analysis.
